Hello, I have a snapmirror relationship using a MirrorAndVault policy, without snapshot on sending side, and snapshots only on destination side (created via snapmirror policy rules, on a cron schedule). I had issues at creation, and I used a test rule (snapmirror policy add-rule) to create test snapshots. After fixing those issues, I deleted the test rule (snapmirror policy remove-rule), but now I have a test snapshot that I cannot delete since the vserver is a destination Verser DR : filer-dest::*> volume snapshot delete -vserver my-vserver-dr -volume my_vol -snapshot test.2026-03-06_0957 Error: command failed: This operation is not permitted on a Vserver that is configured as the destination for Vserver DR. filer-dest::*> Set adv didn't help me (options -force or -ignore-owners). From my understanding, I need to break the snapmirror relationship, delete the snapshot, and resync afterwards. Is that my only solution, or am I missing a solution not requiring me to break the snapmirror relationship (which seems a bit overkill just to remove a snapshot)? And how can I be sure that the vserverdr snapshots used for the snapmirror will be usable to avoid a re-initialization from 0. Thank you in advance.

Could you explain why the chassis HA configuration is no longer required after a chassis replacement? I noticed that in the latest version of the replacement procedure manual, this step is no longer included.

I followed advise and went to Discord. It is a horrible interface, and worse in searching for issues or answers. It is nice that response is immediate, from appropriate NetApp people, that is its major feature. Has any thought been given to upgrading the Community to Discourse? I think it may be a way to combine the two separate forums in to one reasonably usable interface. Just a thought.

I have an application support group that does not trust NetApp snapshots. At some point in the past, with an older version of OnTap, snapshots were failing. So now the application support team insists on receiving a daily E-Mail that verifies that snapshots did indeed run during the evening. I only need to do this with small subset of the total volumes on my system. I do have an AIQUM server, and I see that there are several reports that show how much space the snapshots are using and the total number of snapshots per volume. But I do not see a report that lists the snapshot files by name with the date/time the snapshot was created. I am using OnTap v9.12 but I will upgrade to v9.15 soon. What is the easiest to get this report?

We are migrating from DC A to DC B, currently we have configured SVM DR b/w 2 FAS systems in DC A and 1 AFF system in DC B. I want to know when I break the snapmirror and bring the netapp systems in site A down and the one in site B becomes RW, what all changes are needed to be made from the windows and unix servers so that they point to the cluster in site B.
